Nicholas E. Stolatis is an experienced professional in asset management and sustainability, advising and consulting firms on implementation of best practices for their investment real estate portfolios. He was previously Senior Director-Global Sustainability and Enterprise Initiatives at TIAA. In this role, he created the award winning Global Real Estate Sustainability Initiative, which generated over $100,000,000 in savings through improved energy efficiency, achieved through the development, adoption and implementation of best practices, including the work of third party service providers. These efforts generated additional benefits through improved operations and tenant attraction and retention. Prior to this role, Nicholas was a Regional Director, in charge of asset and portfolio management for a diverse national portfolio of investments in all asset classes. Leading a team of real estate asset management professionals for TIAA, Nicholas created tremendous value for the organization through skilled transactional activity, property development and organizational enhancements.

Nicholas holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Baruch College of the City University of New York, and an M.B.A., Cum Laude, from New York University. He has achieved the Certified Property Manager, Real Property Administrator and LEED-Accredited Professional designations. He has presented at many conferences on topics ranging from sustainability to resiliency to best management practices.

Nicholas is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMII), and holds membership in several professional organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA). He is the current Treasurer, and Past President, of the Greater NY Chapter of IREM, and facilitates the IREM Ethics course. He has also participated on the committee to develop the IREM Sustainable Management course, and is a contributing author for the BOMII Asset Management and High Performance Buildings courses. Nicholas is one of 18 global SMEs serving on the International Property Measurement Standards Coalition’s Standards Setting Committee. Nicholas also serves on the Board of Advisors for 5 Stone Green Capital, and the IBCon and CoRAdvisors conferences. He is a founding member of the Board of Trustees for the Hudson Arts Foundation, Inc., serves as the Assistant Treasurer on the Parish Council of the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour (Rye, NY), and as Scoutmaster Emeritus of Boy Scout Troop 12 Pleasantville, NY.
