Steve Harrison is the owner/principal of Harrison Property Advisors a company dedicated to operational excellence in commercial office buildings. He has been active in the commercial real estate business since 1974. During his career, Steve has been involved with every aspect of the business and has extensive experience in energy management and facility operations.

Steve focuses on building operations from the high performance prospective. He recently retired from Parmenter as Managing Director Facilities & Sustainability where he worked for 21 years. In this capacity, he was responsible for Parmenter becoming a leader in energy conservation, achieving Energy Star’s Sustained Excellence award, sixty (60) TOBY awards and BOMA 360 at all Parmenter properties. The Parmenter Energy Star® portfolio score was consistently over 80 with a current score of 83. He evaluates the operation of the buildings from a high performance perspective focusing not only on the buildings improvement but as importantly on the improvement of the team that serves the building. He assists and advises property teams on matters related to capital expenditures and operations including inspections and due diligence reviews. As a result of his extensive experience in building operations, construction, and systems operation, Steve has acquired a great deal of knowledge in all areas of property management. This experience has been beneficial performing audits on owned properties and due diligence for properties under consideration.

To date, Mr. Harrison has completed LEED certification projects at fifteen properties. His team was responsible for the LEED Platinum project at Rambler Park, the first LEED Platinum EBOM in all of North Texas. Steve is a member of the USGBC and is a LEED Green Associate.

Energy conservation is a passion for Steve. He has been involved in many initiatives to improve the performance of the buildings he oversees one of those being Re-tuning with the Department of Energy (DOE). Steve is currently working with BOMA in the development of a Re-tuning curriculum that is rolling out in 2017.

Steve has been a member of BOMA since 1986 and holds two BOMI designations as a Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facility Management Administrator (FMA). He is active in Building Owners and Managers Association in Atlanta, serving as President in 2002, and has participated or chaired multiple committees. He has also been involved in TOBY awards at all levels including serving as the chair of BOMA Georgia, Quad Chair of BOMA Southern Region and chair of the International Awards Committee. Steve served on the Executive Committee for BOMA International, served on the International Sustainability and Market Initiatives Task Force, and served on the BOMA National Advisory Committee (NAC). Steve was named a BOMA Fellow.
